WOW

As I browsed the blogs I follow this morning, I was impressed with the eloquent words of my cousins about our new, historical president. I, also, am trying to impress upon my children how important this is. I think of my friend, Lyn. Her daughter, Savannah, a grad student in journalism in Chicago, was there, in the park, with a press pass, last night. How impressive would that have been? I was very emotional just watching it on TV. I am glad that Tina Fey got her wish and does not have to "do" Palin for the next 4 years.

I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Palin ... Tina Fey impression and otherwise! I personally prefer the Tina Fey version. Living in conservative "McCain" country, it has been disheartening to listen to people over the past 2 days. For me, it ultimately came down to the candidate that proposed hope over fear. While both candidates are intelligent and dedicated men, I am happy to see Obama as our President-Elect. I hope there is a glimmer of possibility in the future that our kids will now inherit because the recent domestic situation has just been unfathomable.
